Baggage allowance on Gulf Air

The baggage weight allowance depends on the class of service:

• Economy – 23 kg;
• Falcon Gold – 32 kg.

The dimensions of the luggage are 76x51x31 cm.

FalconFlyer loyalty program members can carry extra baggage free of charge according to their membership level:

• Silver – 15 kg
• Gold – 23 kg
• Black – 32 kg

Children from 2 years of age have the same baggage allowance as adults, but you can additionally take a folding stroller and an infant car seat. Infants under 2 years old have a special baggage allowance of 1 seat (up to 15 kg). In addition, you can take a folding stroller and a car seat.

Special baggage, such as a stroller and a car seat, can also be carried free of charge on flights:

•  «Zam Zam Water» (up to 5 l);
• Bicycle (in a protective bag, case or box – up to 15 kg);
• Golf equipment (bag with clubs, balls, one pair of shoes, umbrella – up to 15 kg);
• Diving equipment (one empty tank, regulator, pressure gauge, mask, snorkel, pair of fins, BCD and flashlight – up to 15 kg);
• Board for surfing, windsurfing (+sail), kayak, kayak and hang glider (weight up to 32 kg, dimensions up to 190x75x65 cm) and kitesurfing (board and sail);
• Paragliding and parachuting equipment (one canopy/wing, harness, helmet, parachute);
• Equipment for bowling (4 balls and 10 pins), hockey (sticks, balls/pucks, shields), tennis (rackets and balls), archery (bow, quiver, arrows) and fishing (2 rods, reel, tackle, net);
• Musical Instruments;
• Televisions (up to 50 inches diagonal).

Non-standard shaped luggage (e.g. ball-shaped), wrapped in a blanket or cloth and luggage without a flat surface are prohibited.

Hand luggage

The size and weight of hand baggage depends on the class of service:

There is a special carry-on baggage allowance for infants under 2 years of age:

• Weight – up to 3 kg
• Size – 44x35x20 cm

Along with your hand luggage, you can take personal items, such as for example, free of charge on the plane:

• Lady’s purse, wallet
• Laptop, cell phone, camera
• A plaid or a shawl
• Book
• Baby food (for feeding your baby during the flight)
• Folding wheelchair
• Crutches, prosthetics

Wicker plastic bags, bags with long loose handles and oversized bags larger than 215 cm in the sum of three dimensions are not allowed.

Animal transportation

Gulf Air flights do not allow wild and domestic animals on board the plane (the only exceptions are falcons and guide dogs). Seats for them must be booked in the cargo hold and transportation must be coordinated with the airline. Veterinary certificates and IATA-approved carriers will be required.

Falcons can be transported aboard a plane:

• On hand: 1 falcon per passenger, the bird must be tied to the hand with a rope or chain.
• On a pole: up to 2 falcons per pole, birds must be tied to the pole and the pole itself must be secured to the seat frame.
• Caged: up to 2 falcons per cage, cage must be secured to a seat.

The cost of transportation of one falcon is the same as for one piece of excess baggage. For each pole or cage an additional seat must be booked.
